Associate Director of Development
About This Role
K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an Associate Director of Development, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.
An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects with the expectation to make 150+ personal visits annually.
- Identify, manage, cultivate and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
- Work home and some away K-State Athletic sporting events and donor events
- Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience or comparable sales experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience or comparable sales experience.
- Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors
- Experience fundraising in NCAA Div I athletics
- Former student-athlete
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license at all times
This position holds expectations of compliance with all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, Kansas State University and K-State Athletics, Inc. rules and regulations.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range
$60,000 to $65,000
