Program/Project Coordinator
About This Role
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Client Services Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This position is responsible for providing quality client services in Client Services Desk areas in the Veterinary Health Center, as well as providing clerical and administrative support for Client Services. The person in this position will play a large role in creating and updating processes, policies, schedules, and day-to-day activities of the Client Services areas. In collaboration with the Client Services Manager, this position will handle conflict resolution and respond to concerns using critical thinking, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Demonstrated skills in: leadership, communication, and customer-relations strategic implementation.
- Should possess strong problem-solving skills, creativity, interpersonal skills and analytical thinking to advance technology and high-level customer service.
- Two years experience in clerical or office support work preferred.
- Training in general office practice.
- Experience with veterinary hospital management program software, such as Instinct, will be an asset for this position.
- Good public relations skills, including the ability to communicate professionally under stress.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of work processing computer software and medical data base programs.
- Ability and skills to efficiently coordinate calls on a multi-line telephone system.
- Ability to complete data entry in computer system accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Ability to apply skills of a service-oriented nature position to the public, faculty and students in order to promote harmonious working relationships and excellent veterinary medical care for patients.
