Candidates must hold a DVM degree or equivalent. Internship training or three years of experience in small animal practice is preferred. The position is designed to support the practitioner focused programs of the Department of Educational leadership. This position is aligned with the adult learning and leadership program and will teach in all programs in the Department of Educational Leadership in the area of qualitative research methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate courses in qualitative research methods, adult learning and leadership academic core areas, developing specialized topic courses, advising/mentoring graduate students, gaining graduate faculty status from the Graduate School, serving on and chairing masters committees, and co-chairing and serving on doctoral committees. The successful candidate will have earned an Ed.D. or a Ph.D. in the field of adult education, higher education administration, or related area. The successful candidate will have earned sufficient graduate level credits in qualitative research methods courses to be eligible to teach graduate level qualitative research methods courses. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for teaching graduate level courses in both face-to-face and distance (asynchronous and synchronous) modalities depending upon the department needs. A successful candidate should have an established record of scholarship and successful experience teaching adult learners.
