The Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures welcomes applications for adjunct faculty instructors in French. Course availability varies depending on schedule and departmental needs. The Citadel’s goal is to build long-term relationships with high-quality part-time faculty members who are committed to developing principled, well-rounded leaders who appreciate the value of being culturally and linguistically proficient in world languages other than their own.

This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Native or near-native fluency in French 
  • Master's degree in French or a Master's degree in another subject with 18 hours of graduate-level study in French or an equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
