Exciting opportunities exist to work at Brisbane Airport as an Aviation Protection Officer for a global company!

We are seeking an exceptional Compliance Coordinator with high attention to detail who have an interest in pursuing a career in the Aviation Sector. ISS Aviation and Transport in Australia are responsible for screening 43 million passengers and over 300,000 flights every year! Your role will consist of conducting audits, managing training records, performing spot checks and system tests at Brisbane Airport on a Full-time Monday to Friday basis.

About The Position:

Seeking a new career path and have an interest in security and aviation? Play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of air travel. You will be working with a diverse team of Security Professionals dedicated to safety, compliance and contributing to a high-performing and engaged aviation team. A few of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide clear direction, foster team engagement, and ensure staff are supported and professionally managed.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to assess priorities and provide guidance.
  • Investigate incidents and support performance management or disciplinary procedures.
  • Deliver compliance training to Security Officers and support training for Supervisors and Site Security Manager, as directed by the Compliance Manager.
  • Provide regular compliance reporting to the Compliance Manager and assist in ISS internal system testing.
  • Ensure 100% confidentiality in handling personnel and training-related matters.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on compliance activities and site performance metrics.
  • Promote a positive WHS culture and take the lead in local safety initiatives.
  • Address and escalate any WHS issues impacting performance or safety.
  • Participate in WHS consultation and incident reporting processes, ensuring all incidents are reported within 24 hours.

What we are looking for:

  • 12 months experience in a similar high-compliance environment.
  • Currently hold an ASIC or have the ability to obtain an ASIC.
  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP)
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong operational planning and the ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines.
  • High levels of discretion and personal integrity.

Desirable Criteria

  • Formal qualifications or training experience in compliance, investigations, or auditing
  • Qualifications or competencies in relation to aviation, air cargo, security, or a related area
  • Experience working for a relevant government regulator is also highly valued
