Position Summary:
The Department of Residence Life is seeking highly motivated students for work on our Maintenance support crew. Selected applicants play an integral role in minor maintenance tasks, programming support, cleaning, furniture distribution, residence preparation, and hall support as part of this dynamic department. Daily tasks vary depending upon priority. Qualified applicants will demonstrate high motivation, ability to be independent, high mechanical aptitude, some previous experience, good communication, ability to set and honor work schedules.

Ability to work without on-site supervision, prioritize, initiate required work tasks, and
work in a team environment. Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and residents of campus facilities. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Knowledge of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals. - Ability to operate tools, power tools, and other mechanical devices preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will take a UAF driving test and be required to pass all background and DMV driving record checks.
- Three (3) years of driving experience with a valid drivers' license.
- Be able to pass the University's safe driving certification test.
- Demonstrated education and experience sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the position and to have acquired the necessary skill and abilities.
Position Details:
This is a part-time, temporary student position with a starting salary of $15.26/hr
