Responsibilities may include the recruitment of study participants, coordinating study visits, data collection, conducting research assessments and managing and maintaining up-to-date regulatory files. Serve as the lead study coordinator in clinical trials. Act as the local point of contact from study conception to close-out. Communicate closely with genetic counselors and providers as needed. Obtain informed consent, screen and enroll study participants per study inclusion and exclusion criteria to meet study contract enrollment, conduct study visits as per protocol, coordinate patient visits, provide education to subjects, monitor adverse events and prepare serious adverse event reports, collect and process lab samples, dispense study medication to patients, conduct patient diary reviews, enter data and complete case report forms.

The COVID-19 Testing Clinician reports to Clinical Nurse Manager. The COVID-19 Clinician provides clinical support in the COVID infusion suite, and at COVID testing and vaccination sites. The Registered Nurse for the COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Infusion team reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the COVID Infusion clinic. Under general supervision, the RN provides individualized, goal directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results and outcomes. The RN demonstrates excellent customer service skills and behaviors. Nurse will need to be competent in starting IVs, hanging and infusing medications, and monitoring patients for adverse signs and symptoms. The role will provide oversight of CMAs, PCTs, LPNs, etc. at the infusion clinic. RNs may be asked to support COVID vaccine and testing efforts as needed based on demand.

Under the direct supervision of the COVID-19 Testing Site lead, the COVID-19 Testing/Vaccine Clinical Tech will perform multi-skilled activities to support safe and efficient testing and vaccination of patients for COVID-19. The COVID-19 Testing/Vaccine Clinical Tech is expected to assist with performing nasopharyngeal (PCR) swabbing, nasal swabbing, and other testing methodologies as directed. Additional non-clinical roles of which are pertinent to successful testing/vaccine site operations may be assigned (e.g. traffic directing, patient registration, etc.) The COVID-19 Testing/Vaccine Clinical Tech will be provided with all appropriate training and safety protocols.
