The Senior User Adoption Specialist reports to the Manager of User Adoption and Systems Education. This position serves as a senior role and mentors and develops less experienced team members. Works to develop and manage health technology readiness and engagement programs that are aimed at ensuring safe and efficient use of clinical information technology. The senior leads the adoption and engagement initiatives within Information Solutions, as well as to partner with staff and faculty within the organization to leverage technology solutions for maximizing patient safety, improving delivery of care, advancing quality outcomes, and enhancing the patient experience at MUSC Health. This position helps create the key performance indicators that drive the Health IT strategies around engagement and adoption, providing innovative solutions for Senior Leaders in order to drive meaningful value to the organization and community it supports. The User Adoption Specialist closely collaborates with Analytics, Informatics, System Education and Key Stakeholders to help conduct in depth analysis on value realization of proposed needs within the EHR and other systems for various user roles. This position is responsible for delivering/overseeing metrics for adoption and engagement with Health IT systems. Lastly, the Specialist provides end-user support through participation of a call rotation scheduled (call schedule varies based on needs of organization). This position serves as a senior level advisor/consultant to other members of teams supporting IS.

The Data Engineer I reports to the Manager of Data Operations in support of MUSC’s academic, research and healthcare missions. Under direct supervision, the Data Engineer I will work with various groups across the MUSC enterprise and key information technology resources (IT Leadership, Business Intelligence (BI), source system subject matter experts) to implement and support the EPIC Cogito System and related clinical information systems. Work collaboratively with all departments in Information Solutions division, and all other departments or groups, campus-wide, as necessary, in problem-solving issues related to EPIC Cogito and related clinical information Systems. This position participates in the installation, support and maintenance of Epic Cogito system used to transfer data from the Epic Cache database into the Epic Clarity/Caboodle databases and ensures that the extract, transfer, and load (ETL) process is complete for production and non-production environments. This position will work with Epic Technical Support(both internal and external) to review requests and will look for opportunities for standardization. This role has responsibility for support, maintenance, documentation, change control, and versioning of all Epic Cogito components used to support enterprise Epic Cogito clinical reporting and analytics. This position assists with the maintenance and support of the Data Warehouse, ETL processes, data extracts, and other analytics infrastructure that support organizational decision making, strategy, performance improvement, and other key operational goals.
