The candidate will work as a Program Assistant on the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study, a large-scale project to study child and adolescent health, behavior, and brain functioning. The candidate will be responsible for executing all tasks associated with the ABCD protocol which include neuroimaging, neurocognitive assessments, and clinical interview or self-report measures designed to assess eligibility criteria, psychopathology, medical health, social relationships, personality, and substance use. The participant will work with both youth and their parents. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
UNIV - Program Coordinator II - Public Health Sciences Charleston, SC-Downtown
A full-time Project Coordinator II is needed to oversee a new five-year cancer survivorship research study at the Hollings Cancer Center entitled “A Randomized Controlled Trial to Evaluate the Survivorship Needs Assessment Planning Tool for Head and Neck Cancer Survivor-Caregiver Dyads“. The Coordinator will work with researchers, clinicians, patients and families in the clinical setting and assist in building the study team for this research project. The Coordinator will oversee the study set-up, technology development and data collection and management activities for this study. This research is funded by the National Cancer Institute and will develop and test a supportive care intervention for head and neck cancer survivors and their family caregivers. This project involves technology development (an App to provide mobile support for families) followed by a large randomized controlled trial to evaluate the delivery of this multi-component intervention in the clinic setting. The study will also include a national survey of head and neck cancer healthcare providers and an implementation study with 5 head and neck cancer programs in the southeastern United States to examine the feasibility of disseminating this intervention broadly in the future.

Looking for an enthusiastic individual to support clinical and research efforts conducted through the College of Nursing. The employee will work with the Trauma Resilience and Recovery Program (TRRP) on two major research initiatives. Under our training and dissemination initiative (The Duke Endowment Foundation), the employee will be responsible for assisting the study team with implementation of the TRRP across eight Level I and II trauma centers in the Carolinas. Under the adolescent injury project (NIH R01), the employee will be responsible for tasks related to the day-to-day ongoing conduct of a clinical trial testing the efficacy of TRRP in promoting the emotional recovery of adolescent (ages 12-17) traumatic injury patients and their families. The employee will also work with the Center for Firefighter Behavioral Health team to provide support in all activities related to the development, evaluation, and dissemination of a digital mental health resource designed to assist providers in the delivery of trauma-focused telehealth treatment to promote the behavioral health of firefighters.

UNIV - Human Services Coordinator II - Psychiatry: National Crime Victims Center Charleston, SC
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Human Services Coordinator II for the National Crime Victims Center Division. The candidate will function as the Clinic Intake Coordinator for the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVRTC). The candidate will provide individual evaluation of all therapy patients seen at the NCVRTC to assess presenting symptoms, crime and trauma history, and other stressors in order to develop the best treatment plan and identify other community referrals. The candidate will provide on-going coordination of services for victims of crime seen for services in the clinic. This position includes comprehensive needs assessments, clinical case coordination, community-based services, coordination of services with local agencies who serve victims of crime, coordination of community events hosted by the NCVRTC, program evaluation, and other administrative duties. The candidate will oversee the volunteer program within the NCVC. Victim service experience preferred. Spanish language proficiency preferred, but not required.

The Paczesny laboratory is seeking highly motivated candidates for a post-doctoral fellowship studying tumor immunology including with hematopoietic cell transplantation to treat myeloid malignancies. The major interests of the lab are discovering and validating new biomarkers and immune cells subsets in tumor immunology, generating new cell-based immunotherapies such as T9IL33 recently published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine and highlighted in the New England Journal of Medicine, as well as developing new small molecules based on discovery of novel targets. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead projects using several cutting-edge model systems including hematopoietic cell transplantation and novel xenograft in vivo systems, and primary patient samples. You will also gain extensive experience and training in proteomics, hematopoietic cell transplantation biology, and pre-clinical study development.
