Job Duties:
10Assist in drafting/submission/maintenance of clinical research protocols: applications to MUSC Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and MUSC IRB, PRC and IRB progress reports and renewals, and others as needed.Essential
20Manage/maintain of Division of Surgical Oncology clinical databases: periodic updating of data, ensure quality control, ensure ongoing IRB compliance, and others as needed.Essential
30Collect/enter data into Endocrine Surgery clinical databases.Essential
30Update and maintain IRB protocols and research databases.Essential
5Assistance with data analysis for clinical research projects.Essential
5Assistance with drafting/writing/submission of abstracts/manuscripts/grants for clinical research projects.Essential

Job summary: The purpose of the Statistical and Research Analyst II is to enter/manage data in Division of Surgical Oncology clinical databases; assist in drafting/submission of clinical research protocols (to Protocol Review Committee/IRB/etc); assist in data analysis; assist in drafting/writing/submission of abstracts/manuscripts/grants.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years work experience as a Statistical and Research Analyst I.. A bachelor's degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or clinical research preferred. A master’s degree would be helpful. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (SATA, SPSS, SAS, etc).
