Job summary:

Full-time tenure track faculty position in the College of Nursing for a junior-career researcher who wishes to develop into an independent, externally funded investigator where external funding is broadly relevant to symptom science, self-management, health promotion and prevention, and technology enhanced intervention research. The successful candidate will have a focused program of research, preferably supported by some grant funding history, as well as some academic experience in teaching and service. The candidate is expected to contribute to our major multi-disciplinary research focus in the College, such as the Technology Applications Center for Healthful Lifestyles (TACHL), and across campus.  Teaching responsibilities will reflect one’s area of expertise and will include courses at the graduate level, curriculum/program planning, facilitating and implementing innovative teaching strategies, mentorship of doctoral students, and scholarship.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 0: Commensurate with experience.


FLSA: Salaried


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Qualifications include an earned PhD in Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Behaviors Sciences, Public Health, or a related field. The completion of post-doctoral work is preferred.  Candidates should possess a record of scholarship at the time of appointment. Candidates should be eligible for licensure in their field of study by the State of South Carolina.
