Job Summary/Purpose: The Pediatric OR/Procedural scheduler, under general supervision of the Pediatric Cath Lab/Procedure Area Nurse Manager coordinates the activities related to patient surgery /procedural scheduling within the pediatric surgical specialties and procedural areas. Interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcome.

Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent education and two-three years related work experience; or Associate Degree with one to two years related experience; or Bachelors degree with one year related work experience required. Considerable knowledge and skill in the application of the techniques and practices of OR Scheduling required. Considerable knowledge of complex medical terminology and advanced disease processes preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and must be able to utilize computers and scheduling software. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Typing speed of 35 cwpm and computer experience required.
