Scheduled Work Hours/Shift:  Monday - Friday 8:00am -5:00pm

Job Summary/Purpose:  The EPIC Application Trainer provides the highest quality training related to the Integrated Revenue Cycle Systems; as well as policies and procedures and professional development offerings.  This role proactively develops materials based on current performance trends, implementation of new and updated workflows and industry knowledge.  This position demonstrates, teaches and evaluates system users on all aspects of the MUSC Standards of Excellence and professionalism; as well as, systems and operational policies and processes.  The EPIC Applications Training Coordinator maintains advanced knowledge of the Revenue Cycle systems and processes to serve as resource to all care team members in the Market.   Will handle clinic cancellations, master template and schedule changes and build.   Will round on Care Team Members to ensue training and workflow needs are met. Develops and maintains operational training material related to applicable applications and operational training needs.  This individual develops and modifies effective training modules for continuous improvement and evaluation of revenue cycle functions.  Develops communication and educational materials as new policies/procedures are developed related to current systems and new applications. 

Required Minimum Training and Education: The System Analyst-Epic position candidate will be expected to become Epic certified in their application area as well as serving as the MUSC Physicians expert in the Epic Training, Environments and Documentation methods.  Minimum of two (2) years IT or non-IT experience in a related field (i.e. healthcare, revenue cycle, finance), or currently an Epic credentialed trainer with MUSC Physicians.   Related operational experience (i.e. healthcare, education, research, revenue cycle, finance) also a plus. Must have experience with supporting and implementing financial and administrative software applications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.  Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20 lbs (+/-) unassisted. Lift from 36” to overhead 15 lbs.  Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
