Job Summary/Purpose: To ensure efficient insurance billing operations and account management, the billing office team lead position reports to the Manager of Billing Integration and assists with the onsite support and oversite of the Redfern billing office revenue cycle functions.

Minimum Training and Education: 

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years relevant work experience in healthcare

(medical claims billing, insurance follow up, payment posting, collections or other revenue cycle experience) required; prior supervisory experience, bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with, or knowledge of Medical Terminology, professional coding a plus. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment; demonstrate strong verbal, written, and problem-solving skills; possess the ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with patients, physicians and departmental partners.
