Job Summary/Purpose: The Senior Information Security Analyst reports to an Information Security Director. Under indirect supervision, the Senior Information Security Analyst provides a variety of operational, compliance, and consultative functions. This position designs, implements, manages, and monitors technical, administrative, and physical controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s information assets. This role may be required to provide rotating 24x7 on-call support.

Minimum Training and Education:

A Bachelor's degree in information security, information assurance, computer science, or a related field with 5 years of IT security experience; or 10 years of hands-on experience in information security or related IT experience required, at least 6 of which must be directly related IT security experience; or a Master's degree in information security, information assurance, computer science, or a related field, and 3 years of IT security experience required.  Experience with security and compliance frameworks including two or more of the ISO 27000 series, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI and NIST/FISMA frameworks. Ability to work with contracting officers, Institutional Review Boards, and Legal Affairs on information technology matters. Advanced understanding of security administration for various operating systems and software. Ability to develop project plans for information security systems. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced knowledge and understanding of information risks concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs and security controls.  Excellent documentation and presentation skills. Ability to develop and deliver security awareness training and to translate security concepts to a basic level.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

Highly Desired: CISSP, ISACA, GIAC or other relevant Information Security certifications.
