Job Summary/Purpose

The MUSC Health Community Connect Program Director is accountable for the overall success and day-to-day operations of MUSC’s Community Connect program including the development and oversight of the strategy, roadmap, budget and implementation. Leads a matrixed IS team to scope, plan and deliver solutions following the established project management framework and solution best practices. Collaborates with Epic and other technology vendors that are core to community connect program to ensure trusts, excellent service and support. Develops strong relationships and regularly communicates to stakeholders and customers to deliver optimal value by identifying requirements and managing the deployment, maintenance and integration of current and future capabilities and architecture. Manages the enterprise program finances by creating an usage-based costing systems that reflects real economic costs; creates charge-back/pricing mechanisms based on cost management and demand based pricing. Defines, tracks, and communicates relevant KPIs to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy.

Reporting directly to the Deputy CIO, MUSC Health, the Program Director has a direct matrixed relationship with: · The Chief Medical Officer, MUSC Affiliations for alignment of strategic objectives, priorities, and governance along with supporting the growth in partnerships. · Affiliate Partners to identify requirements, align business outcomes, monitor and evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to corporate, financial, and technology standards. · Information Solutions leaders to coordinated resource allocation, integration into the IS architecture and security environment, and adherence to standards and processes.

Minimum Training and Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college/university. A minimum of ten years experience implementing/supporting healthcare IT applications, which includes at least three years of leadership experience required. Experience in a large hospital system, preferably an academic medical center, strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience implementing Epic in at least one enterprise and certification in two or more applications strongly preferred. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment is essential. Ability to work with multiple technical managers and projects team simultaneously is required. Excellent interpersonal skills required to foster collaborative partnerships in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; client relations and relationship building; fact finding; analytical; presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills required. Professionalism a must. Individual will portray high energy, positive attitude and team orientation in all interactions.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: A Master’s degree from an accredited college/university and a minimum of ten years experience implementing/supporting healthcare IT applications, which includes at least three years of leadership experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and twelve years experience implementing/supporting healthcare IT applications, which includes at least five years of leadership experience required. Experience in a large hospital system, preferably an academic medical center, strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience implementing Epic in at least one enterprise and certification in two or more applications strongly preferred. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment is essential.  Ability to work with multiple technical managers and projects team simultaneously is required.
