MUHA EA32 - Registered Nurse II - Neonatal Nurseries Charleston, SC, Charleston, SC-Main Campus, Children's Hospital
The 66 bed Neonatal Intensive and Intermediate Care Units are located in our Children's Hospital. The MUSC NICU is the regional referral center for this area, providing care to premature and sick neonates. The average daily census is 66. The Neonatal ICUs provides medical and surgical care with most common diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, and neonatal surgical conditions. In addition to respiratory and nutritional support, the NICUs provide ECMO/CRRT and surgical support. Pediatric Palliative care is available as needed. Two units located on the 8th floor of Children's Hospital include the 27 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the 9 bed Special Care Nursery. The 29 bed Level 2 Nursery is adjacent to Labor and Delivery on the 5th floor of MUSC's Main Hospital. The NICU also supports an infant home monitoring program for infants requiring monitoring upon discharge. All NICU beds are monitored beds. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

MUHA EC30 - Angio/Cardiac/Special Procedure Technologist - EP Lab Charleston, SC, Charleston, SC-Main Campus, Ashley River Tower
Under direct supervision, the Angio-specialist is responsible for patient assessment, preparation of patients for cardiovascular & special procedures, performing procedures and recovering patients from procedures. This position requires precise positioning techniques and ability and it accountable to the operation of equipment used during procedures. Constant mental attention is required while performing studies and proper sterile technique. This position coordinates the operating schedule and supervises non-clinical personnel.

The Meduflex (Float Team) Therapeutic Assistant reports to the Meduflex Nurse Manager. Under the direction of a registered nurse the Therapeutic Assistant is responsible for providing patient care as directed by the multi-disciplinary treatment plan and the daily assignment sheet. The Therapeutic Assistant assists with patient admission on discharge processes, monitors and promotes the safety of the therapeutic environment, assure that patient’s activities of daily living are maintained, and supports the therapeutic program.

Patient populations served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric for a variety of diagnosis to include but not limited to: neurologic, orthopedic, post surgical, pediatric, medically complex, inpatient or outpatient throughout the hospital system.

Under the direct supervision of the Meducare Ground Transport Shift Leader, the Alternative Transport Technician (ATT) is responsible for certification in BLS for patient assessment, stabilization, preparation for transport, and transport of patient within guidelines and protocols set by MUSC and Meducare. The ATT is responsible for all paperwork required for transport of patient and that the transport vehicle is checked off each shift to ensure all equipment is working and the van is clean and in compliance with MUSC and MEDUCARE’S rules, regulations and guidelines.

MUHA ND10 - Resource Management Program Director (INTERIM ONLY) Charleston, SC-Main Campus
The Resource Management Program Director reports to the Director of Patient Logistics. Under limited supervision, the Resource Management Program Director provides leadership and oversight of patient care support resources to include direction, coordination, consultation and communication with MUHA and MUSC-P leadership. This role is responsible for comprehensive operations on a 24-hours basis for the Resource Management Center and the Hospital Supervisors in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. The Resource Management Program Director develops and maintains staffing models and resource allocation programs to meet the evolving needs of the clinical enterprise.
