MUHA EA32 - Registered Nurse II - Neonatal Nurseries Charleston, SC, Charleston, SC-Main Campus, Children's Hospital, Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital
The 82 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is located in our MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital. The Neonatal ICU is the regional referral center for this area, providing care to premature and sick neonates. The Neonatal ICU provides medical and surgical care with most common diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, and neonatal surgical conditions. In addition to respiratory and nutritional support, the NICU provides ECMO/CRRT and surgical support. Pediatric Palliative care is available as needed. The Neonatal ICU is located on the 5th floor of the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Hospital. The Neonatal ICU also supports an infant home monitoring program for infants requiring monitoring upon discharge. All Neonatal ICU beds are monitored beds. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. They must be able to function collaboratively, but independently, at an executive level with little supervision. The primary purpose of this position is to insure that the crime victim and VSP perspective is integrated in all NMVVRC planning, MVI response, information, training activities, services, and products. This team member must have the ability to collaborate with other members of the team to develop educational products and training materials that are evidence-based but relevant to and understandable to MVI victims/survivors, VSPs, and criminal justice system professionals. They must have strong writing and verbal communication skills, experience in developing curricula and training materials for crime victims and VSPs, experience conducting trainings with crime victims and VSPs, and experience with disseminating information and training using virtual methods. They must also have substantial national credibility and experience in the crime victim assistance field. Experience in the mass violence area and providing information and services to mass violence victims/survivors is desirable.

The Radiology Supervisor (CT) reports to the Radiology Manager. Under limited supervision, the Radiology Supervisor (CT) coordinates the clinical operations to include equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions of a specific modality and in some cases on a secondary basis, other imaging modalities for the MUHA Radiology Department at all facilities. This role performs complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with radiation safety procedures.

The Certified Surgical Technologist II reports to the Nurse Manager. Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as member of the Labor & Delivery team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines. This position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients’ families.
