Job description:

The Department of Health are seeking a motivated Senior Project Officer to join their Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Reform team located in Hobart.

The Role:

Provide leadership in the planning and implementation of actions to take forward the recommendations related to Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) review.

  • Provides definitive high-level strategic advice to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the broader Chid and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) leadership team and other CYMHS project managers to ensure that the delivery of strategic reform programs is consistent and integrated.
  • Develops highly effective and productive relationships and manages networks with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertakes specific project management functions associated with the CYMHS Reform Program in a health services environment including CYMHS system linkages with external agencies.

The Team:

The Statewide Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Reform Team works with all relevant stakeholders to implement actions to deliver the recommendations of the Statewide Mental Health Services CAMHS review. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join the team to provide high level strategic and corporate support to the CYMHS reform program.

Existing and new services being planned and established include:

  • Out of Home Care Mental Health Program
  • Youth Mental Health Program 
  • Youth Forensic Mental Health Program
  • Community CYMHS Statewide Service Model.

Details of Appointment:

Fixed Term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 30 June 2025.

Location: Hobart, Tasmania

Salary: $124,371 - $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
