
The Team:
Join our dynamic team at the North West regional office, located at the Burnie Ambulance Station. As an Operational Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with fellow Assistants and the Operational Support Officer. This high-performing team partners with the Regional Leadership Team and operational staff to ensure the effective delivery of Emergency Medical Services and Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services across the North West Region.
The Role:
- Provide administrative, clerical and operational support to the Director of Operations, Operations Manager and other senior staff, including but not limited to, visitor reception, telephone screening, data entry, management of appointment diaries, collation and cross checking of timesheets, maintenance of petty cash system, and electronic and hardcopy inward and outward correspondence.
- Support the efficient flow of information to and from the office and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hard copy.
- Requisition of goods and services, as directed by management, in accordance with departmental purchasing procedures.
You will need:
- To have a high level of understanding and comprehensive use of Microsoft office suite such as Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated office management skills, including the ability to perform routine administrative and clerical duties with accuracy and precision and has the capacity to provide basic research support services.
- Sound knowledge and experience in the use of software packages for the operation and production of reports, and databases, with the ability to learn new software applications.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and an ability to effectively exercise judgement and discretion in completing day to day tasks.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 or 24 months
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $41.62 to $44.73 per hour.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
