Job description:

The Food Services team are seeking a patient focused, organised and passionate individual to join their team.  The team provides meals to patients and staff and Mersey Community Hospital and pride themselves on good service and excellent food.

The Food Services team are seeking a patient focused, organised and passionate individual to join their team.  The team provides meals to patients and staff and Mersey Community Hospital and pride themselves on good service and excellent food.  

The Role:

Assist with the food preparation, production, plating service, warewashing and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors and staff of the hospital.

This position is to cover scheduled holiday leave and therefore shift days and times will vary on a month-to-month basis.

- Food Services experience in the Health Care industry will be an advantage.

- Excellent time management and communication skills are a must.

Details of appointment:

Position 600019 - Permanent, part time, shift worker position available, working 40 hours per fortnight, to commence as soon as possible.

Position 534844 - Fixed term, casual, shift work positions, working as and when required, are also available, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $59,443 per annum, pro rata. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Award/Agreement (Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award.

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
