Job description:

Department of Health are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Accreditation Preparation Team in the Clinical Governance Unit of Clinical Quality Regulation and Accreditation.

The Team:

This is your opportunity to join our growing Accreditation Preparation Team, located in the Clinical Governance unit of Clinical Quality, Regulation and Accreditation at the Department of Health. The APT team are a dynamic and growing team based in the Hobart CBD.

The focus of our newest team is to lead the implementation of systems to support maintaining statewide accreditation readiness for NSQHS, aged care, NDIS and other health service relevant accreditation surveys across the Tasmanian Public Health Service.  The team will be mentoring and monitoring quality improvement and conducting assessments as required to ensure the public health service continues to provide the best possible care for our patients and their support networks.  You will be working alongside an amazing and diverse group who are passionate about the Tasmanian Health Service CARE values - Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. 

The Role:

The Project Nurse – Accreditation Preparation will coordinate the work program that contributes to system wide improvements to address identified issues consistent with the requirements of the relevant national standard for the public health service.

  • Provides clinical advice, leadership and project management to support accreditation success.
  • Develop education resources and provide statewide education as required to support quality and safety culture.
  • This position is based in Hobart, with the expectation that the occupant will periodically travel while conducting onsite accreditation support and assessments as required within Tasmania.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight to commence as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,866 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant field such as a Post graduate qualification in Healthcare Quality and Safety, Diploma of Quality Auditing BSB50920, Lead Auditor ISO 19011:2018, or MBA
