
The Team:
The Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) team for Hospitals South is based at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
We are a positive and collaborative team who support the Southern Region of the Tasmanian Health Service. The team consists of the EPR Officer and Clinical Nurse Consultant who report to the Nursing Director. We maintain a contemporary and efficient approach to EPR to achieve objectives and improve outcomes for consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
The officer's role is vital in supporting the Nursing Director of Emergency Preparedness and the Office of the Chief Executive in ensuring that Hospitals South is adequately prepared to respond to emergency management issues within its facilities.
The Emergency Preparedness and Response Officer will:
- Work closely with the Nursing Director as a member of EPR to contribute and assist with implementation of various projects and actions of the EPR.
- Ensure the EPR objectives and initiatives are delivered utilising contemporary emergency management approaches, and that are aligned with the strategic priorities.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
