Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) - 1 vacancy
Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP for a period of 3 years - 1 vacancy.

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
Homes Tasmania is seeking two enthusiastic Application Specialists to join our Application Services team. Working as members of a small team of application specialists and support coordinators, you will play a key role in supporting the provision of our applications’ administration, support, and maintenance services to ensure the ongoing stability and security of Homes Tasmania’s applications, tools, technologies, and operating environment.
These are two exciting roles that involve collaboration with Homes Tasmania’s business units, external stakeholders, and vendors/suppliers to support compliance. Agreed standards and service levels are monitored and reported, while helping to ensure that Homes Tasmania’s digital operating environment is fit for purpose.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- Demonstrated experience in the management, administration and monitoring of applications including support services.
- Understanding, or ability to acquire, of Tasmanian Government digital strategies, policies, and guidelines and how they relate to Homes Tasmania.
- Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills to analyse complex information and technology-related issues, with the ability to identify reasonable options for action and make recommendations.
- High level oral communication and interpersonal skills to be able to liaise, problem solve, collaborate, and negotiate with a range of stakeholders including staff, vendors, and external organisations.
- High level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and maintain information and technology-related procedures, documentation, reports and online content.
- Proven ability to work constructively individually and with cross-teams, including an ability to be adaptable and flexible, working within an environment subject to work pressure and competing priorities within established benchmarks and standards.
Desirable Requirements:
Working towards or successful completion of qualifications, and/or experience relevant to the role such as -
- Recent industry experience in the delivery of applications administration services.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (child related activity) Registration (Employment type)
