The Team:
An exciting opportunity exists within the Department of Health as a Social Work Assistant in a multidisciplinary team providing high quality health and wellbeing services to young people aged 12-24. The Pulse Youth Health Service is a supportive, cohesive, and highly functioning team that is motivated to meet the service needs of our community. The service promotes wellbeing and provides preventative services to support mental wellbeing and sexual health, as well as helping young people to manage and maintain better health outcomes. The successful applicant will:
- Support the day-to-day needs of the Pulse Youth Health Service.

The Role:
Assist the Youth Health Team (including Social Workers and Nurses) to deliver services to clients and their families and provide high level administrative support.
You will need to:
- Under the direct supervision of a Youth Health team member or in accordance with an approved work plan:
- Assist clients with the completion and lodging of forms
- Refer, direct and/or accompany patients to health and other service areas.
- Participate in the design, preparation, implementation and evaluation of group sessions.
- Provide high level administrative support to the service including:
- Receiving initial presentations and phone calls from young people and referrers.
- Taking client and referral details and passing onto Youth Health Staff.
- Making appointments and arranging reminders.
- Support outreach clinics.
3. Support technical requirements of the service including:
- Data collection
- Spreadsheet collation
- Social media interaction

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. (delete if no access)
