Job description:

Seeking a Clinical Coordinator (Facilitator) - Whole of Community PEP to coordinate and facilitate the learning and teaching of undergraduate nursing, paramedics and allied health students within a designated rural health environment.

The Team:

The Whole of Community Facilitator is based at the North Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital (NESMH) Scottsdale. This hospital provides inpatient and outreach services to the people living in the Dorset community. The hospital is an 18 bed subacute facility with a 3 bed Emergency Department. Community nursing and home help services are also provided from the facility. 

The Role:

The Whole of Community position works with both UTAS and the service providers to ensure students are supported during clinical placement and to ensure that they meet their placement objectives. 

This position:

* Provides support and supervision to UTAS students during the clinical placement. 

* Provides support to both NESMH and May Shaw Residential Aged Care Facility if required. 

* Contact person for the students in preparation and during their placement.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you until 31 December 2026.

Note: Travel between rural sites may be a requirement of the role.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

  • Holds or is working towards relevant Post Graduate qualifications
