Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Provide high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with patients, consumers, visitors and colleagues.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also being able to work independently.
  • Prioritise and organise work to meet changing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow policies, procedures and work instructions, including infection prevention and control and work health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and a respectful approach in all interactions.

Vacancies may arise across the following roles:

  • Cleaner - Operational Health Officer level 1 

    $59,668 to $65,185 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Food Services Officer - Operational Health Officer Level 1 

     $59,668 to $65,185 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Communications Officer - General Stream Band 2

     $68,854 to $73,947 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Equipment Coordination Services Officer - Operational Health Officer Level 3 

     $70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Specialised Medical Orderly - Operational Health Officer Level 3

     $70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range for all listed roles are in accordance with the Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award (HAHSA) and the Public Sector Union Wages Agreement (PSUWA).

Vacancies may be located across multiple sites depending on the role, including:

  • Royal Hobart Hospital (Environmental Services, Food Services - distribution and cafe, Communications, Equipment Coordination Services, Specialised Medical Orderlies)
  • Repatriation Centre - 90 Davey Street, Hobart (Environmental Services, Specialised Medical Orderlies)
  • Cambridge Production Centre (Food Services)
