The Team

TasEquip is a small statewide service.  We operate a loan scheme for eligible clients to loan equipment to discharge from hospital or to stay safely at home.  The equipment we manage includes but is not limited to commodes, walking aides, and hospital beds. The small TasEquip team works together to achieve an efficient and effective service.

The Role

The Customer Service Officer is the most varied and versatile role within the team.  There are three key areas; Equipment handling, dealing with health professionals and the public and administrative duties. The role is best suited to people with a broad range of skills.

The Customer Service Officer undertakes all practical hands-on tasks across the whole of the equipment loan cycle (procurement, commission, track, deliver, collect, return, clean, check and repair).

Customer Service skills are also important as the Customer Service Officer answers a wide range of enquiries from both health professionals who request equipment and the patients who are our customers and their families.

A portion of each day involves administrative tasks, covering all office functions, including tracking equipment, maintaining accurate data bases and a range of office duties.

This is a role that is both practical, hands on and office based, offering a variety of tasks every day.  Customer Service Officers make a key contribution to the care of people in the community.
