
The Team
The Community Services Support team in System Management and Reform is responsible for overseeing national and state priorities and initiatives, commissioning, funding and planning to implement whole-of-government system projects and reform in disability services and reform, aging and older Tasmanians policy and programs and family violence services.

The Role
The Principal Policy Analyst provides policy advice to support the effective and efficient development of whole‑of‑government initiatives, policy and disability programs at state and national levels, including the development and implementation of new Australian Government policy directions, reforms and programs, including the interface with the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
You will need
- Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience in policy analysis, policy development, strategic planning and project management within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated high level project management and leadership skills, including experience in formulating and managing complex and diverse projects, including determining milestones and objectives, and providing solutions and recommendations that support service delivery outcomes.
- Proven experience in providing a high level of initiative, adaptability and flexibility, together with the ability to deal with pressure, balance competing interests and stakeholder views, and positively manage change and adapt to new situations.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible

Salary
$132,460 to $139,392 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
