Job description:
The purpose of the role is to support the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) Environmental Risk Management System operational framework related to Reserve Activity Assessments, post approval assessments, onsite inspection and auditing, reporting, and provision of expert advice to practitioners.

Parks and Wildlife Services (PWS) is seeking a Team Leader, Environmental Assessment Systems to join the Policy, Planning and Legislation team!
The Team Leader will support the PWS Environmental Risk Management System operational framework related to Reserve Activity Assessments, post approval assessments, onsite inspection and auditing, reporting, and provision of expert advice to practitioners.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation)
Period of appointment
24 months or until the return of the substantive whichever is earliest.
Desirable requirements
- A degree in Science, Environmental Studies, Planning or related field, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Detailed understanding of environmental impact assessment and relevant legislation in the Tasmanian and Commonwealth context.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
