Job description:

Implement the field centre operational plans, carry out works to maintain field centre infrastructure and facilities for the conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.

About the role

The Field Officer will carry out operational plans, works programs and projects to maintain field centre infrastructure and facilities for the conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.

Based at the Lake St Clair field centre, the Field Officer will work in a spectacular World Heritage Area and manage sections of the Walls of Jerusalem, the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Parks as well as Lake St Clair National Park.

Each day will be different as you apply your practical skills and experience to contribute to the success of the team. You will undertake a wide range of tasks which could include firefighting, managing wildlife, and you will use your trade skills to maintain facilities and assets for the safety and enjoyment of visitors and staff.

Hours per fortnight

76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).
