Job description:
The Practice Quality Assurance Officer supports the delivery of high-quality child safety and youth justice services through the provision of robust quality assurance processes, including complaint and issue management, and supporting risk escalation and governance for Child Safety and Youth Justice Operations. The role ensures compliance with legislative, policy, and procedural requirements while actively incorporating client perspectives and trauma-informed principles into all activities.
This position contributes to continuous improvement by conducting audits, analysing practice data, and preparing reports that inform strategic decisions. It provides advice and guidance to practitioners and managers on quality assurance matters, complaint resolution, and governance processes, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in service delivery.
Additionally, the occupant plays a critical role in monitoring, evaluating, and improving practice quality through audits, reviews, and governance processes. A core principle underpinning this work is Trauma-Informed Care, which prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment. Embedding client voice ensures that children, young people, and families are heard, and their experiences inform service improvement and decision-making.
