Job description:
Contribute to projects that enhance the delivery & management of biosecurity emergency preparedness activities and response for Biosecurity Tasmania.

About the role
Support the effective delivery of emergency preparedness activities for Biosecurity Tasmania.
Participate in and provide project support to key activities that safeguard Tasmania’s natural environment and agricultural industry.
- Variety of work – Programs will focus on aquaculture, plants and animals.
- Provide training and education to staff and a range of stakeholders.
- Support the learning and development of others.
- Work with a small team of passionate emergency management professionals.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Desirable requirements
- A Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification in Public Safety – Biosecurity Response as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
- Previous experience in an emergency response or emergency management planning.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
