Job description:
The position leads the Payroll Operations team in the provision of processing and support to departmental management and staff on HR matters related to employment, remuneration, allowances, and leave.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Provide high-level HR advice and consultancy services relating to all relevant awards, legislation and supporting policies and procedures to managers and staff within the Department.
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of HR specialists in the payroll team including developing capability and expertise.
- Provide specialised support to ensure quality assurance of complex pay and conditions transactions, particularly those requiring system-level intervention and the preparation of bulk transactions.
- Work with Manager Payroll and Reporting Services to undertake required system development and maintenance including updating modules and HR data reporting and preparation for the implementation of the HRIS.
- Develop and implement relevant documentation and associated confidential, accurate and up to date records as part of payroll business processes.
- Assist with the implementation, development and enhancement of branch and agency initiatives.
