Job description:
To assist the Director in discharge of their statutory functions by providing a high level of executive assistance and administrative support, and providing liaison between the Director, Heads of Agency, the Attorney-General’s office and other public and private organisations.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Provide a high level of client service. Liaise and communicate effectively with senior government officers, statutory office holders, Ministerial Offices, external organisations and the general public, and undertake associated confidential duties.
- Provide comprehensive executive support to the Director and Deputy Director including high quality and accurate document production using audio transcription and copy typing skills, travel and function arrangements, co-ordination of meetings and conferences, and telephone screening.
- Undertake all high level administrative tasks required by the Director including maintaining physical and electronic files, and provide such services to other officers as directed.
- Manage and coordinate the flow of information and correspondence to and from the Director, including the management of highly sensitive and confidential matters.
- Manage the Director’s work schedule, including diary management, prioritising urgent matters, arranging travel, arranging meetings, and ensuring that background papers and files are available prior to scheduled meetings.
- Apply technical knowledge of administrative operations to ensure the efficient delivery of administrative services. This will include as appropriate modifying and developing procedures.
- Manage access to the Director by acting as the first point of contact, and exercise initiative in undertaking high level liaison and dealing with enquiries in the absence of the Director by referring them to appropriate officers. Undertake any of the above duties for other legal practitioners within ODPP, or additional duties within the expected range of work of the position, as the Director may require.

- Appropriate qualifications in Business Administration or Business (Legal Services)
