About the Team & Office
Join a high-performing team passionate about technology in the media and entertainment space. We create and maintain the systems that keep Australia's favourite shows and podcasts running smoothly. Our Brisbane office, located in the heart of the city with access to public transport, shops, and great coffee, is currently trialling a 9-day fortnight—with every second Friday off to rest and recharge!

A day in the life?
As a Technology Engineer, you’ll ensure that our studios, systems, and broadcast technology perform at their peak, supporting everything from live radio to podcasting and digital platforms.

You’ll:

• Provide support for all local and national content, news, production, and administrative business infrastructure.

• Diagnose and action escalated work from the broader technology team and manage third parties when needed.

• Recommend and implement improvements to SCA’s systems in collaboration with national team members and leaders.

• Maintain, install, and repair all technology systems including on-air studios, news and production equipment, and transmission gear.

• Ensure backup systems are tested monthly and support outside broadcasts and live events.

• Help design and install new facilities and equipment, while keeping a clean and efficient workshop.

• Assist in managing operational budgets, project plans, and team rosters.

• Lead third-party contractors and attend WH&S meetings when needed.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience working in a technical broadcast or media environment

• A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
