Role Purpose
The role will provide essential support for M&E Maintenance Information System (AMOS), eTechlog (Ultramain), and other systems that are managed by Engineering Project team. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, authorization management, system performance monitoring, issue resolution, user training and facilitating system upgrades and configurations to optimize business processes.
System Administration
- Administer AMOS, eTechlog and other engineering project systems as the primary point of contact and help desk liaison
- Collaborate with the IT team to manage system administration tasks, including account management, access authorization and data integration
- Manage system upgrades, modifications, and data consistency, like AMOS configuration changes and workflow adjustments
- Develop automated reporting solutions in collaboration with business units
- Address system inquiries and work with business units and IT to resolve reported issues, including the rollout of contingency plans such as eTechlog Paper Fallback recovery
- Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide refresher training as needed
- Share best practices and tips to inform users about common system issues and recommendations to minimize recurring problems
- Support system enhancement projects to align with evolving business needs in accordance with our digitalization roadmap
- Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions for any adverse events
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with business units to implement lean processes and re-engineering initiatives, leveraging tools such as AI, Power Automate, and Power Apps
Project Management
- Assist Assistant Manager, Engineering Projects with projects management activities and ensure timely delivery of project objectives
Digital Transformation Support
- Contribute to the company's digital transformation initiatives by working closely with the Digital Transformation and IT teams
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree or above qualification in Business Management, IT or Engineering, or any related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in aircraft engineering; project management experience is preferred
- Able to work independently and manage multiple discipline projects
- Effective decision-making, data management, organizational, analytical, time management and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external parties; willing to take responsibilities
- Assertive and capable of driving change under pressure to meet project timelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Proficient in AMOS and SQL; previous experience in a mobile application is advantageous
- Basic knowledge of system technical aspects, including network protocols, virtualization, server administration, and cloud services is advantageous
- Strong command of written and spoken English & Chinese
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Engineer, Engineering Projects
