The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) reports to the Director of the T.K. Martin Center and their licensed supervisor. They will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism, related developmental disorders, and behavioral disorders (e.g., impulse regulation issues, social navigation issues) in a school-based setting. The Registered Behavioral Technician will directly implement behavioral protocols, conduct behavioral skills training, collect data on programs, model program implementation for parents and school staff, and assist the Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with clinical assessments as needed. |

Teaching responsibilities involve didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, interns, residents, and graduate students. Service responsibilities involve clinical case management, rotating emergency duty, and consultation with private practitioners. Clinical duties in the Small Animal Medicine service will be shared with four other faculty members. The service currently has three residents enrolled in an ACVIM-approved three-year combined residency and thesis-driven master’s program. Participation in the college’s continuing education and clinical research program is strongly encouraged, as is the development of a specific area of clinical and research focus and expertise.
