Manages a variety of activities, projects, grants, and requests for services from external clients and customers, as well as internal MSU and Advanced Composites Institute (ACI) related projects. The project manager will plan and implement projects associated with advanced manufacturing, resin infusion, and resin transfer molding. This position will be primarily focused on our industry-related partners like Boeing, Aurora Flight Sciences, and Northrop Grumman as well as our long-standing research efforts with the Federal Aviation Administration. This individual may be required to manage and lead a team as necessary to complete the project. The projects are manufacturing-related and will require working in a cross-functional team environment where multiple priorities and deadlines must be managed simultaneously.
Assistant Research Professor 182000 - Department of Comparative Bio Scien Main Campus - Starkville, MS
Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine (MSU CVM) has received a transformative gift to establish the Nancy Link Laminitis Research Center. This gift will fund the construction of a new research building and the creation of three new faculty positions, along with new staff and graduate student positions. We seek to assemble an outstanding team of faculty to seize this opportunity and conduct research on laminitis, a painful and crippling disease of horses. The new team will consist of one faculty member at the professor level, one at the associate professor level, and one at the assistant professor level. The new 14,000-square-foot facility will offer both clinical and benchtop research space, as well as the equipment needed for advanced research. Graduate student stipends will be available to each faculty member, and a substantial amount of funding will be available to the team annually for research on the prevention and treatment of laminitis in pleasure or working horses. We seek applicants for the position of Assistant Research Professor of Biomedical Sciences in Laminitis Research. This position is supported by a gift and a higher salary will be offered. We seek a faculty member with a passion for addressing the problem of laminitis in horses through research. Researchers with experience in equine endocrinology are strongly encouraged to apply. Senior Research Associate 182000 - Department of Comparative Bio Scien Main Campus - Starkville, MS
The Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences at Mississippi State University is recruiting a full-time Senior Research Associate to support human and animal research with emphasis in the area of cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will support targeted/untargeted metabolomics’ approaches by managing two LC-MS/MS instruments located in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior “hands on” experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and utilization of appropriate software, for enabling chemical compound identification/annotation, is required. In addition, prior experience in the utilization of in vitro / ex vivo / in vivo cancer models for the development of experimental / translational cancer therapeutics, is a must. The position will be based in Starkville, Mississippi.
