Provides clerical and administrative support, which require a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies, and general office procedures.

Salary Grade:  11

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs a wide variety of clerical duties which could be confidential in nature; operates personal computer to perform basic to complex office assignments for generating letters, reports, making drafts, edits, revisions, printing, and documentation of other materials.
2. Greets and directs visitors when appropriate; resolve routine administrative problems and answer inquiries concerning activities and operations of department/division.
3. Answers telephone, routes calls, takes messages, and provides general information.
4. Studies, analyzes, and recommends procedures and processes to improve continuity and simplify reporting.
5. Analyzes operating practices such as record keeping systems, office layout and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures; remain abreast of trends in administrative operations.
6. Coordinates collection of and participates in the preparation of operating reports using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
7. Develops, plans, and implements programs, office policies, and procedures relevant to unit mission and goals.
8. Performs duties to assist with inventory reports and procures supplies and office equipment.
9. Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents; develops and maintains data, and performs routine analyses and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.
10. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
2. Experience in fund accounting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
