The position can be filled by a tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. Candidates with measurable years of industry, agency, and/or faculty experience are highly preferred. The Richard A. Rula School of Civil & Environmental Engineering within the Bagley College of Engineering has multiple endowed opportunities (professorship or chair) for highly qualified candidates. The position is anticipated to be filled in August of 2026. While any area of civil or environmental engineering can be considered, measurable expertise in one or more of the following areas are of particular interest: asphalt pavement systems, buried or underground structures, concrete bridges, construction materials, structural health monitoring, and trenchless technologies. The candidate is expected to work with undergraduate and graduate students in and out of the classroom and any tenure track option is also expected to engage students in research that can be published in high quality venues.
