The Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences at Mississippi State University is recruiting a full-time Senior Research Associate to support human and animal research with emphasis in the area of cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will support targeted/untargeted metabolomics’ approaches by managing two LC-MS/MS instruments located in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior “hands on” experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and utilization of appropriate software, for enabling chemical compound identification/annotation, is required. In addition, prior experience in the utilization of in vitro / ex vivo / in vivo cancer models for the development of experimental / translational cancer therapeutics, is a must. The position will be based in Starkville, Mississippi.

Further guidance and reporting will be administered by the Executive Director of Development for the MSU Foundation. Current special projects focus areas for this position include: The Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library & Museum, The Mill Renovation Project, MSU-Meridian & its health sciences initiatives, the Judy & Bobby Shackouls Honors College, the President’s Cabinet/Presidential Endowed Scholarships, and other priority areas identified by MSU leadership.
