The successful candidate will support targeted/untargeted metabolomics’ approaches by managing two LC-MS/MS instruments located in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior “hands on” experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and utilization of appropriate software, for enabling chemical compound identification/annotation, is required. In addition, prior experience in the utilization of in vitro / ex vivo / in vivo cancer models for the development of experimental / translational cancer therapeutics, is a must while priority will also be given to candidates with experience in developing and submitting grant proposals to various funding agencies. The position will be based in Starkville, Mississippi.

This position will conduct all the field operations involved in Plant Pathology research on cotton, corn, wheat, and soybeans. These include but are not limited to planting, weed and insect control, fertilization, fungicide spraying, harvesting, and summarization of data. We have guidance systems on our tractors and automatic weighing systems on our combines and cotton pickers which the person in this position will have to operate.
