The Instructor I, II, or III position is under the administrative supervision of the Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering (ASE). This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, 9-month faculty position. An instructor in ASE is an engineer and a scholar with a strong interest in teaching, supervising undergraduate students working in the ASE labs, and providing service to ASE. Teach excavation field school as necessary. Teach advanced undergraduate students in upper-level topical or area courses. Teach graduate courses in area of specialty, including seminars, special topics, and directed readings. Serve on graduate committees for M.A. students. Direct graduate M.A. theses.
