This position plays a key role in growing attendance, elevating the game day environment, and supporting brand development efforts.

The Michael W. Hall School of Mechanical Engineering in the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor. Successful candidates will be expected to develop nationally and internationally recognized, externally funded research programs in areas including, but not limited to: development of design methodologies to improve performance of various materials including steel alloys, aluminum alloys, copper alloys, etc. through theoretical and experimental study to provide a fundamental understanding of roles of alloying elements, manufacturing processes, materials structures, and mechanical properties to the performance of those materials of interest. The position holder must have the ability to work independently, publish in archival journals, write research proposals, and present in a public forum. Preferred candidates should show a track record in nationally recognized research and innovation toward transformative technologies, applications, and partnerships with industries.
