The Department of Chemistry at Mississippi State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track Instructor I or Assistant Teaching Professor to teach online and/or face-to-face courses in Chemistry. Primary job duties include course assignments, e.g., instruction of introductory chemistry courses in the general chemistry and possibly organic chemistry sequences. Additional undergraduate courses could be assigned based on applicant experience and interest. In addition, job duties may include supervision and training of graduate student teaching assistants. Successful applicants should have a MS or PH.D. for rank at Instructor I and must have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment for rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine has an immediate opening for a tenure track faculty position in Small Animal Surgery. Teaching responsibilities will include didactic/clinical training for professional, graduate and technology students enrolled at the College of Veterinary Medicine and surgery resident preparation. Service responsibilities will be shared with four other surgeons, four current surgery residents, one surgery specialty intern and a team of veterinary technician, and will comprise small animal surgical management in a teaching hospital environment, including participation in the after-hours emergency service. Establishment of an active record of research and scholarly activity is expected. |
