The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine has an immediate opening for a tenure track faculty position in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Teaching responsibilities involve didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, interns, residents, and graduate students. Service responsibilities involve clinical case management, rotating emergency duty, and consultation with private practitioners. Clinical duties in the Small Animal Medicine service will be shared with four other faculty members. The service currently has three residents enrolled in an ACVIM-approved three-year combined residency and thesis-driven master’s program. Participation in the college’s continuing education and clinical research program is strongly encouraged, as is the development of a specific area of clinical and research focus and expertise. External grant acquisition and supervision of postgraduate degree students is encouraged and supported, and initial funding is available to support the development of research initiatives.

The Floater also works with a team of other classroom staff and family members to implement curriculum to achieve outcomes for children of all abilities.

The project manager will plan and implement projects associated with advanced manufacturing, resin infusion, and resin transfer molding. This position will be primarily focused on our industry-related partners like Boeing, Aurora Flight Sciences, and Northrop Grumman as well as our long-standing research efforts with the Federal Aviation Administration. This individual may be required to manage and lead a team as necessary to complete the project. The projects are manufacturing-related and will require working in a cross-functional team environment where multiple priorities and deadlines must be managed simultaneously.
