| The ICU technician position provides primary care to all emergency patients and advanced care for critical patients of the Animal Health Center (AHC) along with support for hospitalized patients. Though legally limited to providing patient care except for diagnosing, prescribing, or performing surgery; these vital technicians are responsible for executing the wishes of the veterinary medical doctor team and monitoring patient response. In addition to these supporting roles, ICU technicians provide instruction for the professional DVM veterinary students, as well as Bachelor's degree Veterinary Medical Technology students. |
