The School of Architecture at Mississippi State University invites applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank with expertise in history and theory. The anticipated start date is Fall 2025. Candidates with emphasis areas involving social and cultural frameworks, including issues that range from historic preservation to housing or health, are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will help shape and teach the history course sequence and teach in the design studio, which provides avenues to investigate historical and social issues in architectural projects. As part of a college that includes departments of art, interior design, and building construction science, there are opportunities to collaborate with design historians to serve the minors, concentrations, and graduate certificates. The planned graduate program also holds potential for involvement in historical investigations at the graduate level.

The Coordinator at the Mississippi Entomological Museum plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and evaluating the museum's projects and initiatives. This includes defining project goals and objectives, developing project plans and SOP’s, timelines, and budgets, coordinating with museum staff and external partners, seeking out and applying for grant funding opportunities, developing, and implementing marketing and social media strategies, collaborating with designers and developers to create promotional materials, attending and leading business meetings, evaluating project success, and managing staff and interns. As the Museum grows and develops, needs for space and moving of collections will require the help and assistance of the Coordinator. The Coordinator 's responsibilities are essential to ensuring that the museum's programs and initiatives align with the museum's mission and strategic plan, and that they are executed efficiently and effectively within available resources. |

This is an intermittent position with irregular hours. The primary function of individuals in this position is to assist the full-time staff of the MSU Riley Center in preparation, execution, and deconstruction of all performance/event related equipment in the facility's various spaces. The primary focus will be on, but not limited to, performances/events in the Grand Opera House space. Individuals in this position will primarily report to the Technical Director of the MSU Riley Center, but may, at times, be asked to assist other full-time staff. This position will, at times, be working with various touring crews for national touring shows and well-known artists. Therefore, a respectable level of decorum is required. |
