The establishment of the Mississippi State University-Meridian (MSU-M) Mental and Behavioral Health Clinic aims to enhance the availability of mental and behavioral healthcare providers and services in the surrounding area. The clinic is designed to be a training site for current MSU students and provide community services. The Clinical Instructor in Counseling reports to the Clinic Director and Head of the Division of Education and is responsible for providing psychological assessments, interventions, psycho-educational programming, and supervision. Additionally, the Clinical Instructor will provide crisis intervention, safety assessment, consultation services, and referral services as needed. Teaching opportunities are also available.
Instructor I - Geography Main Campus - Starkville, MS
The position is for a full-time, non-tenure track instructor (9-month appointment). The successful candidate will teach three or four courses per semester not to exceed eight total courses per nine-month period. These courses include World Geography, Physical Geography or other introductory courses in geosciences. In addition, the preferred candidate will coordinate the Physical Geography laboratory sections. The duties include making sure the graduate teaching assistants are prepared to facilitate the labs and preparing laboratory instructions and materials. Summer teaching opportunities for additional pay may be available, yet summer employment is not always guaranteed.

Research Epidemiological Modeler Main Campus - Starkville, MS
We are seeking up to two Research Epidemiological Modelers with an interest and experience in computational aspects of molecular and spatial epidemiology to work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals at Mississippi State University and the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Geospatial and Environmental Epidemiology Research Unit (GEERU). The candidates will be responsible for development of advanced computational models of infectious disease evolution, transmission, and persistence with particular emphasis on diseases that impact agricultural infrastructure and pose a biosecurity threat to human populations in the U.S. and beyond. The candidate will be based out of the Geosystems Research Institute (GRI), an institute in the High Performance Collaboratory (HPC2) at Mississippi State University. Through these collaborations the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a large, diverse, and well-connected professional network to leverage in their future career.
Postdoctoral Associate Miami, FL
The principal function of the postdoc is to contribute to configuring an Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) water quality model for the South Florida region and use this model to simulate and analyze past and projected regional patterns, with a focus on net primary production and subsequent carbon transport and settlement rates in and out of Biscayne Bay. The outputs of the coastal model will be used to characterize climate change impacts on water quality and carbon transport in and out of the estuary. Addition to the modeling efforts, the position will also have the tasks of constructing literature reviews and providing carbon data input for NOAA databases. The postdoc will be based at the NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) in Miami, Florida. She/he will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes researchers at NOAA, Mississippi State University, University of Miami, University of South Florida, Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences, Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, and Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association.
