This is a 12-month, 100% Extension appointment with a potential starting date of January 1, 2025. The primary purpose of this position will be to lead the soybean outreach activities for producers and other stakeholders in Mississippi. The incumbent will work in concert with faculty and staff from the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences as well as other Departments/Units as part of a multidisciplinary team. The overarching goal of this team is to develop training for extension agents and to strengthen the overall Extension program by providing technology transfer and facilitating adoption of best management practices within Mississippi. In addition, the individual will be expected to develop and sustain an extramurally funded outreach program in collaboration with other Mississippi State University Extension and Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station (MAFES) researchers to enhance soybean production and management in Mississippi. The TK Martin Center is seeking a licensed or license-eligible speech language pathologist with experience in early intervention services to support a pilot project at the TK Martin Center and expertise in AAC evaluations or willingness to receive training. This position will have a primary role of serving young children, ages birth to three, qualifying for early intervention services in the state of Mississippi. Children may present with complex communication needs. This role may involve assisting with early intervention assessments for infants and toddlers who present with developmental delays. Postdoctoral Associate	Miami, FL
The principal function of the postdoc is to contribute to configuring an Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) water quality model for the South Florida region and use this model to simulate and analyze past and projected regional patterns, with a focus on net primary production and subsequent carbon transport and settlement rates in and out of Biscayne Bay. The outputs of the coastal model will be used to characterize climate change impacts on water quality and carbon transport in and out of the estuary. Addition to the modeling efforts, the position will also have the tasks of constructing literature reviews and providing carbon data input for NOAA databases. The postdoc will be based at the NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) in Miami, Florida.
